 Apartments for Rent in New Jersey (NJ) |
| I was not very happy to be looking for apartments for rent in New Jersey. I had wanted to move to the east coast for a long time, but this was not what I had had in mind. I guess I had never thought about it very seriously before, but the reality of the situation was sinking in. I could not live in Manhattan like I had always dreamed. I would not move out to the city and instantly meet dozens and dozens of glamorous, creative friends. Instead, I would find an Apartment for rent in New Jersey, probably in an area that was an hour away from anywhere that I wanted to be. The situation looked grim.
The sad fact was, not only was I in the middle of nowhere, but I couldn't even afford decent apartments for rent in New Jersey. As far away as I was living, I expected to be able to at least find houses for rent in New Jersey that were pretty reasonable. I had no such luck. Even a small apartment for rent in New Jersey costs several times what it costs to rent a whole house in Walla Walla Washington – the place I lived until I moved out here. Unless I struck it rich, and did so quickly, I would be living in poverty for years and years. It seemed like everything was crashing down on me. I had unrealistic dreams, and I was discovering how hard things really were.
Finally, I sat down and got some perspective. I realized that not being able to find the right apartments for rent in New Jersey was not the end of the world. The worst thing that I could do right now was exactly what I was doing: giving up before I even started. One way or another, I would find apartments to rent in New Jersey that would meet my needs. I would work as hard as I could, live life to the fullest, and try my darnedest to succeed.
Eventually, I could move out of the apartments for rent in New Jersey and find a better place, maybe in New York City. Until then, it seemed like New Jersey was not so bad. I had already talked to a couple of very attractive women, and everyone out here seemed very nice. Soon, I found apartments for rent in New Jersey that were clean, if a bit cozy. It wouldn't be so bad to live here after all.
