The world is a dynamic place. Part of the dynamic nature of life is the wonderful things it creates. That being said, there are also some strange things that are both unusual and very interesting. In fact, here are 10.
1. Meaning of Horse Statutes ? Statutes of people on horses carry a hidden meaning. If the horse has both front feet in the air, the person died in battle. One leg means they died after the battle from wounds. No legs means they died of natural causes.
2. Rabbits and Australia ? The rabbit was first introduced to Australia in 1859. In fact, 24 were let loose on the continent by a farmer. There are now believed to be over 300 million Australian rabbits!
3. Brides in Morocco ? Getting married can be a scary thing. Brides in Morocco have it good. They keep their eyes closed throughout the ceremony per custom.
4. Kings on Playing Cards ? The four kings on playing cards stand for something. The king of diamonds is Julius Caesar, Spades is King David, Hearts is Charlemagne, and the King of Clubs is Alexander the Great.
5. Christmas in Russia ? Russians love a good time. In fact, they celebrate Christmas twice a year on December 25 and January 7.
6. Look Behind You! ? Ever wondered what is behind you? Well, rabbits do not. They can see behind them without turning their heads. Oddly, the same goes for parrots.
7. Crazy Koala Bears ? Think of Australia and you see those crazy Koala bears. They are truly odd. For instance, they do not drink water, but get fluid from the leaves they eat. They also do not have any known predator.
8. Vodka Warmth in Russia ? Why do Russians drink so much vodka? To keep warm. They say it keeps you warm on the inside while you are cold on the outside.
9. Manhole Covers in Russia ? Why don?t you ever walk around a Russian city at night without a flashlight? The streets aren?t lit and many manhole covers are missing.
10. Signing the Declaration of Independence ? Everyone knows the Declaration of Independence was signed July 4, right? Wrong. Only two signatures occurred that day.
