Simply relies on her dance training and her on-set trainers to prepare for her martial arts action scenes, the Asian superstar does many of her own stunts, showcasing her quality as an athletic tough goddess when playing the Chinese secret agent Wai Lin in the latter flick.

Starring as the caretaker for rebellious young girl (Zhang Ziyi) who is in love with a bandit (Chang Chen) and steals valuable artifacts for a disgruntled enemy, Yeoh proves her athletic abilities, run up and down walls, run across rooftops, fly through the air and throw kicks and punches. A well-trained ballet dancer as soon as her 4 years age, Yeoh combines her dance discipline with the emotional element, the dramatic side of the film, to create an action which is not quite so violent, that's the art of her character which at last makes the film distinct from others.
